As Promised...

Kell and I "celebrated" Valentine's Day last Monday.
We enjoyed a fun filled day of athletic adventures.
Not too cheesy. Not too lovey dovey.
Just a husband and wife who enjoy sports spending quality time together.
I really cherish days like these.
Being a working girl now, I am not spoiled with infinite amount of time with the hubba dub dub.
I could literally spend every second of my days with him and be ok with it.
IS THAT NORMAL?
I don't care if it is really...not sure why I even asked.

We started the day hitting some balls.
I attempted to drive a golf ball.
I was only successful a hand full of times, but it was still fun.
Then we each hit about 20 softballs.
It was cold. It stung. It started to burn.
But it was still fun.
Seriously though, the next day I was so sore.
I did not prepare for that.

We rested, then we head to Dallas for a Mavs game.
They were playing the hawks, so I was excited.
It was a win-win situation for me.
ANNND. They always play the BEST music at basketball games.

We ended the night sipping some wine and watching Here Comes the BOOM.
we really stayed true to the sports themed date.
We ALL know I love a theme.
It's in my blood.

Valentine's Day

This year will be our first Valentine's Day as a married couple.
It is also the first Valentine's that we are spending together...not long distance.
I could attempt to go real cheesy and express my mad love for my husband, but I am not the most eloquent person, and it is never easy for me to find the words that accurately express my love for Kell.
It's hard enough for me to believe this is real life.
I am married to my best friend, soul mate, dream guy.
And I couldn't be happier.
I made some cheesy pictures for my man and I like them, so I will share them with the world.

stay tuned for a blog about our most perfect date day...

Peach Passions: A love for a Nation.

Guatemala.
I talk about her all the time.
Dream about her, think of her on a daily basis.
Many of you know this by now that I have a strong passion for Guatemala.

Seriously.
This time last year I was gearing up my mind and soul to spend a week serving the people of
Panajachel, Guatemala through North Metro Church and Redeemer's House International.
I never knew the impact this week would have on my life.
I was an unforgettable, indescribable week.
I was moved to tears, laughter, and to my knees.
I put my muscles, sweat, athletic ability, and heart into serving the lovely people and children of Pana.
I learned more about my savior and about myself.

I was blown away by the faith shown by these people.
We see them as having almost nothing and they are in constant smiles and joy
because their hearts are filled with the love of Christ.
These families served me more than I served them.
There is not a language barrier strong enough in the world to get in the way of sharing the love of Jesus.
It blows my mind.

I do not think anyone will ever understand how much I love Guatemala and serving the people of this nation.
I do not think anyone will ever understand what happened to me that week I was there.
I do not think anyone understands how serious I am about wanting and needing to go back.
I know God is calling me back.

When I think about my passion and love for Guatemala and how I cannot put it into words. How only I can sort of understand it, but still can't completely wrap my mind around it.
I multiply that by at least 1000 and realize this is doesn't begin to scratch the surface of God's love for us.

I remember hearing Exodus 3:12 in church a few months ago.
The end of the verse reads, "you shall serve God on this mountain."
First word in my head was Guatemala.
I haven't gone a day without praying and thinking of Guaty since.

I don't know if it was flipping back and seeing that verse in my notes at church today or receiving an e-mail/update from a dear friend who is serving in Pana...
But I felt the urge to share with you the conversations I have in my brain on a daily basis.

My sweet dingo, Lexie.
Serving in Guatemala for a year.
She is my inspiration.

Peach Problems

Right now I am shopping, but not the exciting shopping...like responsible shopping. I am in search for button downs for my big girl job. I did not realize how hard the search would be to find something at a decent price. In the midst of searching for these adult shirts I found the perfect Aztec sweater and perfect fur vest. What? Remember about a month ago when I was searching and had Zero luck? Yeah. Why does that always happen? My husband literally had to push me out of the store. True story. As we were walking away I was making every excuse to go get them and cursing my financial responsibilities at the same time. All while kell just smiled and laughed at me. After leaving the mall we crossed over to old navy where I struck button down gold!!! I found 4 shirts, but was still bummed about spending $25 a piece on them. The fashion angels just knew I needed a little cheering up. When I got to the register they rang up for $15! Yeah man! Saved $40! I am ending this shopping adventure with a casual date night with my love. Dinner and a movie.

Peachy Playmakers.

This weekend some of my favorite people from Kennesaw are traveling to Florida to play in a little flag football tournament.
Being in Texas I do not get to participate this year.
We had SO much fun.
Made new friends within the team and the whole tournament community.
And the best part was being surrounded by others who share the love of Christ.
Our girls team may not have been the most successful, but we had a blast.
Our boys, on the other hand, we champions.

So this post is for you KSU Krazies...

Do it for Grandma...

Do it for Tebow...

For KSU rec Center...

For Africa...

For Jesus...

And for the REPEAT!!

And always remember,
When in doubt, BERNIE it out.

Good luck my friends,
May the force be with you, and the odds ever be in your favor.

A weekend of promotions.

This weekend was pretty great.
I finally got an iphone4, and I am very excited to about that.
I am now the Marketing Director at the Chick-Fil-A I work at.
The mom I nanny for says I am now Promoted to FRIEND since she has to replace me.
Target treated me right.
Y'ALL!!
If you go to target now, you will get into trouble.
Everything is adorable, and everything is one sale.
This is what I restricted me purchases to:
3 pairs of pants: $12 each
and a pair of flats: $12
I am now ready to dress the part of my new position.

Also tonight we had an After Christmas Christmas Party.
This is what I wore:

My favorite Boots.

Good. Weekend.

What I actually got.,,

Well, I call my shopping trip a success.
I found things that I have been wanting but was not necessarily looking for.
It always seems to work out that way.
I photographed my shopping trip VIA my iphone.
Therefore my pictures kind of suck.
p.s. I need an upgrade.

This is what I wore today.

I have been really into over-sized and long tops, so today I decided to wear just the opposite.
Cardigan: Christmas gift. (Its has cute blingy buttons that you cannot see.)
Peplum Top: Lord & Taylor
Jeans: Aeropostale (Christmas gift 2 years ago)
Black boots: 2 years old cannot remember where I got them.

This is what I bought today.

Blue Cotton Top: (Forever 21) perfect casual top that I can pair with any jacket, blazer or cardigan in my closet. And I can wear it all year round.
Polka dot Tunic: (Forever21) Cannot wait to mix patterns with this and wear it with pants or NO pants.
I have been wanting one of these.
IronMan Sweatshirt: (Forever21) He is my favorite superhero. I have been looking for a trendy sweatshirt or graphic tee to support this guy. I am VERY excited about this purchase.
Leather leggings: (Shasa) This is the only item I did not purchase from forever or with a gift card. They were only $13, and they were a bucket list item.
Tribal Shorts: (Forever 21) I am excited to dress these up and down. They are cute cozy and long enough for my liking.

I did find me a sick deal on a wide brim fedora.
It was maroon, $12, and I looked good in it.
But as I looked at myself in the mirror and pondered life I realized I would never ear it really.
If it were $5 or it is there next time I go shopping...
I WILL BUY IT.
(cause you know, that's a sign from the fashion angels that I need to own it.)

PEOPLE!! I cannot find a fur vest anywhere!!
HEMP ME!

Also, I did not find an aztec sweater.
Idid see one online for only $30 that I might need to purchase with my next paycheck..

That is my update.
WE OUT.
