Something old, Something new.

I should start by saying congratulations...
to myself.
Never did I think I would survive a whole month drinking water
and only water.
But I did people.
I did not hate it, but I did not love it.
And you better believe I am getting a large sweet tea tomorrow.
I shall keep you updated on this occasion VIA instagram.

I have every intention to continue drinking lots of water,
but I will also drink sweet tea.
This Georgia girl cannot survive without sweet tea!
My mouth is looking forward to the added flavor.
I did it people.
And you can too.
Only if you want though.
No Pressure.

Onto the something old. something new.
Remember that one time I said I had something exciting coming up in the near future?
Well now I get to tell you about it.

Something old:
Using my fashion hobby as I do on this blog.

Something new:
Partnering with a new blog.
Sunshine Magazine.

I have been asked to be the fashion contributor for an online magazine launching in September.
I am beyond excited and confused as to why she would ever pick me??
but nonetheless very excited.

I am excited about this new adventure and hope that you will all join me.

July Challenge: Week TWO

To all of you reading this,
you may be slightly disappointed.

First of all, I started taking photos of my feet for week dos and realized I am really just wearing mostly the same shoes on a different day. And I am not knowledgeable/creative enough with my fancy camera to still make it look fun and cool.
FAIL.

Secondly, I gave up on giving up desserts for the month of July.
Really though? What was I thinking?
I was setting myself up for failure.
I decided that was just too difficult for me right now.
One positive thing I did gain from that week or 6 days of no desserts?
I have the power to say NO to dessert, just not all dessert.
I do not feel the need to eat something sweet every time the chance is given to many.
small victory.
baby steps.

Good news. I am still drinking water and only water.
I plan on celebrating this July victory with a Large glass of sweet tea come August.

I am working on some creative, not too ambitious ideas for the blog.
I think my problem is I am thinking too big, and I really don't have the time to go big or go home right now.

I hope to eventually be consistent with my blogging, but I am learning that will come with time.

I do have one BIG exciting project coming soon to a computer or smart device near you.
I cannot wait to share.

Thanks for being patient with my lack of self-discipline.
I leave you with this precious picture of me and Kellogg.
I was just wanting him to be more into the photo booth than he was in this moment.
I forced him to enter.
I love pictures. He does not.

July Challenge: Week ONE

Let me just start off with a confession.
I cheated. I ate ice cream and reeses on Friday.
I ate a cookie (or 2) on Saturday.
AND I ate a cookie on Sunday.
Friday, immediately after eating the ice cream I wished I had just had a glass of sweet tea.
I am going strong on the water drinking y'all.
And by going strong I mean I haven't cheated, but I still crave a dr. pepper and sweet tea daily.
I am surrounded by it. I can smell it. It is hard, but at the same time I have grown to love some ice cold water over the past week.

I cheated on Friday because my husband said I should have a cheat day and I really wanted some candy at the movies. The candy was good and so was the movie. We saw Lone Ranger.

Finally. I would like to update you on my shoe show for the past week or so.
I am so proud of myself for actually remembering to take pictures!

Peach Posh: Inner Hippie

I think living in the Austin area is wearing off on me.
I have hippie tenancies more than ever.
I feel like I am becoming more granola by the day.
I am sure part of that is contributed to living on this beautiful campus.

With that being said. I feel like these last two get-ups that I wore on my days off were rather hippie.
This first is more like city hippie, the second is straight up hippie.

Also, apparently I like the color green right now.
Interesting.

Shirt and shoes are from target.
FINALLY found some lace shorts that are not booty short from Marshall's.
Necklace and Sunnies are from Charming Charlie.

Love my hello apparel tank.
My sisters and I got the 4 pack, which reminds me, I still owe my sister 25 bucks.
You may recognize my shorts from one of my very first DIY post.
That awesome hippie headband? Saw something similar on pink pistachio blog. I had a girls night at camp with my team and we all made them. It was so much fun and SO EASY!
And you can't be a hippie without a pair of Chacos.

Am I right?
Remember that one time I said No Pants Party 2013?
Well I have been feeling the shorts lately.
I did pair the hello tank with a skirt originally, but decide to go more casual.
That outfit may pop up in a later day though. I really did like it.

P.S. How was your 4th?
Mine was awesome. I got to watch fireworks with a bunch of camp people and my favorite 2 year old best friend. He gets me. Especially when it come to love for fireworks.

Hello July

There are a few things I love about July.
Hot dogs. Fireworks. Watermelon.
Just to name a few.

I love the summer but it makes me missy family, friends and the beach.

Anyway...

To be honest, camp food is weighing me down. Literally. I have just felt sluggish and gross, so I decided I was going to do something about it.

For the month of July I am skipping dessert and drinking only water.

Day one. My husband forgot and brings me a beautiful cup of sweet tea to the table at lunch. I am craving a dr. Pepper and I have to work in the concession stand tonight. We get free stuff when we work AKA torture.

I can do it. Only 30 more days to go. I will keep you updated.

I decided to do something fun with this challenge too.

Since I spend most of my summer days in Nike shorts and t-shirts, my most exciting thing I wear is my shoes. I wear a different pair of shoes almost everyday. For the next 30 days I will take a picture of my shoes and post my spread weekly.

Fun right? Yeah.

Happy July everyone!

I can't wait until the 4th when I get to wear my DIY American flag jorts!

Woo! 'Merica!
