DIY: shirt upgrade.

Ever put on a shirt you really like, but hate the style/fit?
That happened to me today.
I usually think of ways to make it better, but never do it.
Well, today I actually did it. I didn't wait until next time.
And then I did the same thing to another shirt.
GO ME!

And then I got chocolate on my shirt.
real. life.

Both of the shirts I cut were the same style.
Fitted on the sleeves and the waist.
I just didn't like the way  it felt or looked anymore so I changed it.

I am obsessed with a shirt with a scallop, so I found one of my favorite tank tops and used it as a guide to cut the bottom.
Then I simply cut the sleeves to the link I preferred.
That's it. That is all I did.
Took less than 5 minutes.

AFTER:

I even took the tank top I used and wore it under my shirt to add some length.
Then I got chocolate on my shirt.
I am apparently still disappointed in myself.

Moral of the story is: I love these shirts 100% better and will actually wear them now.

The Big News

It may not be that big of news to most of you by now.
If you follow me on instagram then you are already aware that Kell and I have moved to Austin.
Technically we moved to Spicewood, but we are close enough to Austin.

And that, y'all, is the big news.
WE MOVED!

We were blessed to live with Kell's parents for the past [ALMOST] year.
rent free.
we were spoiled.
not afraid to admit it.
They were so gracious to give us a place to live and food to eat while we searched for jobs.
We will never be able to express how thankful we really are for their kindness and patience.

But finally, after 10 months of waiting, searching and praying...
we have landed our dream job.
We are serving as full-time staff at Highland Lakes Camp.
This is the same camp that we worked at in 2010 as summer staff,
and the same camp where we realized God had bigger plans than just a friendship for us.
It was at HLCCC on the steps of Highland Inn that Kell told me he was in love with me and i said, "ditto."
Really. I kid you not. I wanted to badly to have a Nicholas Sparks moment, but my natural ability to be awkward won that battle.

We are so excited to start our lives of camp ministry at a camp that we call "home."
We could not be more positive that this is where we are supposed to be.
We look forward to the work, memories and friendships that is to come.

As if we needed more assurance that we were supposed to be here..
everyone has been so welcoming and sweet since our arrival.
I am glad that everyone else seems as excited as we are about being here.

I can't wait to explore Austin and all the coolness it has to offer.

home sweet home in Duplex #1.
We can't wait for our neighbors to get here.

Don't worry y'all, I will give you the grand tour when we get situated.
MTV CRIBS style.

Peach Posh: An outfit and a Cause.

Today is shine a light on Slavery Day.
I first learned about modern day slavery my freshman year of college in my college 1101 class when we had to read the book, "Not For Sale."
It blew my mind and rocked my world.
The very city I was attending college was hosting this sickening multi-billion dollar "industry."
Treating people with less respect than they treat a stray animal on the side of the street.
I just couldn't understand how people in their right mind could do something so terrible.
But that's just it. They are not in their right mind.

I learned about the End It Movement while watching Passion 2013 livecast.
I decided right then I wanted to be a part of this movement.
I may have a small part, but every part counts.
I want to make people more aware of this awful injustice.
I will pray for those in slavery, enslaving, and those who have the power to End IT.
I will pray for those who are rescuing, those trying to escape
AND
others just like me.

I am in it to END IT.

Today, to help spread awareness I, along with many many many others, am wearing a red "X" on my hand.

And since I love a good outfit post,
I decided I would include some picks of my work attire sporting my best accessory,
my red "X."

Shirt: Burlington
Pants: Target
Shoes: Borrowed from my Mother-in-Law (of course)

Peach Posh: Cute as Beyonce.

So today's outfit was inspired by Beyonce and the fact that I finally got an aztec sweater.
I want to wear this sweater everyday.

If you have been following me here or in real life you know I am obsessed with anything aztec and have been on the search for an aztec sweater for a LONG time now.

Found this sweater at Cotton on for $20.
Deal. Steal. Are you for REAL?

This is the photo I saw this morning.
My outfit probably looks nothing like it, but I just felt my inner Beyonce coming out when I put my outfit on.
and that bun. I wish I could pull it off because I am obsessed with it.
Let's be honest, I am obsessed with Beyonce.

Necklace: Compass ($10)
Sweater: Cotton On ($20)
Tank: Cotton On ($10)
Leggings: Shasa ($10)
Sandals: Mother-in-Laws Closet

I ended up trading the necklace for the specs.
Ended up being the perfect combination of edgy and tribal.
And Beyonce.

This is my best Sasha Fierce.
I think I need more practice.

And this is my best puppy photo bomb.

P.S. Be on the lookout for some BIG NEWS coming soon.
Happy Monday
